First Floor RP Area

Welcome to the First Floor of Desolate Ruins! This place is known to be haunted... expect the unexpected, and you may even reach the top floor!

Caleb knew that this place was eerie. He could see it in the face of his pokemon. The first floor alone was empty, and forboding. But, it proved as a nice test. Many wild pokemon, weak ones, ran around the area. It would make for nice training as he progressed through. He walked towards the stairs, keeping an eye open for any chance he could find to engage in a fight.

"I wonder..."

A rattatta emerged from the wall. Caleb smiled, and pointed at it with his Raltz. Belle darted at it, tackling it at full force. The opponent snarled, however, and tackled the raltz back. This would prove troublesome for later, so Caleb recalled his raltz, and sent forth his new pokemon, Envy the Purrloin. It... didn't trust him much. It looked back at him, wondering what to do, when the wild pokemon ran head first into its' side. Envy fell over, and hissed after the critical blow, slicing into the rattattas face with her claws. It darted off, squeaking in pain. The purrloin would have run away, but the area was new to her. She wouldn't get far. Caleb called her back into the pokeball, and walked towards the next floor, his raltz following in tow.

*Wandering into the ruins with a brisk pace he picks a pokeball confidently off his belt and holds it at the ready to casually summon his Skamory. What appeared was just your average Rattata, lightly tossing the pokeball to bring out Skarmory infront of Rattata.*

*The little armored bird gave a deathly stare at Rattata who seemed to flinch at the thought of what the depths of those eyes were capable of.*Peck!*At the command Skarmory surged forward at Rattata and jabbed it harshly with it's steel beak, the Rattata this time was slightly more ready to fight striking Skar across it's breast with little effect. Again Skar dove forward and pecked at little vermin again making it shirk away from the fight fearfully. Skarmory was relentless and knew it's prey, attacking it one last time bringing it down simply and confidently struting back to Lee who looked more than happy with the little monster's performance, allowing it to return to it's ball. Whistling along with the tune in his own head, he walks casually out of the ruins to find more tougher training for his new friend.*

Sam wandered carefully through the threshold to the ruins. It was considerably dim inside and the air smelled of dust. The floor had a thick layer of dust on it, though it was clear that a few people had been walking about in there as of late. Walking carefully through the dusty ruin, he could swear he heard the skittering of Pokemon in the dark, and perhaps even an eery laugh once in a while. When he reached the center of the room he heard a loud noise behind him and felt something brush up against his leg!

Sam sighed, it was only a Rattata, though this particular one seemed really hostile. He pulled out Baby's Pokeball and let her out.

"Alright Baby! Time for a workout."

The Rattata circled them, growling its name, and Baby growled hers back.

"Alright Baby, give 'im a leer!"

Baby pulled her face into that odd grimace and Rattata inched back out of revulsion.

"Alright, give him another!"

She obeyed and Rattata snarled back, whipping its tail back and forth. Sam noticed Rattata's technique and issued his next order.

"Don't mind the tail Baby, just keep leering!"

Rattata growled its name once more at Baby's third leer and bounded forward, leaping quickly from side to side.

"Watch out Baby dodge it!"
"Laaar!"

Baby leaped backward to avoid the quickattack but took a glancing blow to her side anyway.

"Counter with a Bite!"

The Larvitar fought through the shock of getting hit so quickly and sunk her teeth into the Rattata's hindquarters just as it was passing her. The rodent Pokemon yelped and fainted.

Baby let it go and it slumped on the floor, whimpering its name quietly.

"Great job Baby! Now lets go upstairs before any more show up!"

"Larvitar!" she agreed.

Lee wanders into the ruins planning on just passing through, until a wild Rattata simply jumps out as if from no where. Surprised he just picks out Skar off his belt and summons it against the rat, immediately flying towards it and pecking violently, returning to a calm stance a short distance infront of Lee. The Rattata uses tackle and striking out at Skar with little effect, Skar continued as it would using peck again, hitting the Rattata with a swift hit. The little pokemon was now beginning to waver and made a feeble tackle before Skar could finish it off simply with a last strike with it's beak. Uttering Skaaaar defiantly returning to it's home.
Well... this place is below us.

Not wanting to engage in a battle so early in the ruins, she quickly and quietly made her way across the first floor, keeping her eye out for any signs of movement. It was unusually quiet, even for such a haunted, abandoned place. It was as though even the non-ghost types here were in fear of making any sound. Suddenly, there was a loud noise upstairs, so, with Ray's Pokeball in hand, Khia moved to the stairs and ascended to the 2nd floor.

Tao entered the ruins, no signs of anything so far, untill all of a sudden a small rattata lunged out behind a tombstone, taking an aggressive stance.
Shroomish jumps forward, protecting it's trainer as it boastfully shows how big he can puff himself up. Not soon after, the constant barrage of Absorb begins, while the rattata swiftly tackles again and again.
Whatever damage was done, if was healed soon after with Rattata's weakening.

Not having moved a single step, Shroom stands still as the rattata suddenly collapses before it. He puts one of his feet on the unconscious rattata and stands victorious on the tiny rat.
Tao slowly claps his hands, Shroom being unaware of the obvious sarcasm, and nudges the mushroom to keep walking. There's bigger fish in this junk than bloody rats.

As soon as he walked into the Ruins, Meiun instantly had a shiver run down his spine, he also had the feeling something was watching him. In preparation he brought out his new Pokemon Skorupi, who started shivering, "It's ok Skorupi, I believe you can do this" whispered Meiun. This seemed to calm Skorupi down a bit, they started towards the stairs to the next floor when suddenly a Gastly loomed out of the darkness at them, "Skorupi, there's an enemy to the left!" shouted Meiun, Skorupi instantly jumped to face left and saw the Gastly to which it prompty jumped of fright and scuttled back a bit. "It's ok Skorupi, I told you, you can do this! Now, use Bite!", this seemed to help the scared Pokemon but nevertheless it obeyed it's trainer and ran towards the Gastly ready to Bite it. But the Gastly suddenly moved sideways causing Skorupi to miss and fly into one of the tombstones that were all around. "Skorupi get up! Gastly is trying to use lick, dodge it and then Bite after", Skorupi jumped up and scuttled underneath the Gastly avoiding the attack and ran in trying to Bite it again. This time Gastly was ready and as Skorupi jumped at it, it opened its mouth and licked Skorupi in midair. After getting lick, Skorupi was flipped and landed upside down and laid there shivering "Snap out of it Skorupi!" pleaded Meiun but the plea seemed to fall on deaf ears. Gastly started moving in for another lick attack, Skorupi still didn't seem to be responding. "Skorupi! Gastly is coming in for another attack, snap out of it! You can do this, I believe in you, and so do Bagon and Shinx! Do it for all of us!". Just as Gastly was about to land the lick attack Skorupi jumped up and used Bite on Gastly's tongue "Yes! I knew you could do it Skorupi!" Gastly tried getting rid of Skorupi but she stayed hanging on, just as Gastly was about to fling her into another tombstone she let go. Just to jump at Gastly and use Bite on the back of its head. This Bite seemed to do the job and Gastly floated to the floor, taking the chance Meiun threw a Pokeball at the Gastly intent to catch it, into the Pokeball the Gastly went in a red flash of light. The ball started twitching, but came to a still. "You did a fantastic job Skorupi" he praised. To which she jumped and seemed to smile and shouted "Skoruuu!", he returned her to her Pokeball. Deciding to go on, he headed to the second floor.

Entering the Desolate Ruins once more, Tao smiled proudly as he pulled out Bolt's pokéball and let the magnemite loose.
"Alright, let's get snappy, Bolt!".

Bolt screeched in response, and apparently attracted a rattata with it's noise. The small hiss coming out of the dark corner seemed to not impress Bolt much as he simply and calmly whirred his magnets around. The rattata launched upwards, tackling bolt, but as before the steel coating of the Magnemite didn't receive much damage.
Bolt rotated in mid-air quickly, smacking the rattata back to the ground and awaited it's command.
"Now Bolt, use thundershock!"

It had to admit, it kind of wasn't waiting. Bolt instantly released it's electricity at the rattata as the command had only just been spoken. The rattata shook and twitched from the discharge, foam filling it's mouth as it dropped to the ground.
Bolt calmly flew back to the staircase going up, causing Tao and Shroom to hurry along to keep up.

"Don't go too far up, Bolt, we don't want to run into any more spiritombs!", Tao yelled as the magnemite carelessly ascended the stairs.
